お互い、年齢差、立場などで、実らぬ恋ということはわかっていたのだろう。わかってはいても、わが恋人が今頃誰と寝ているのか、と気になるなるのが恋というものだろう。
They probably both knew that their love would never come to fruition due to the age difference, their positions, etc. But even if they knew, it’s the nature of love to wonder who their partner is sleeping with at the moment.
