冬12月、太宰帥大伴旅人卿が帰京する時、おとめが作った歌二首
普通の方ならばどのようにもしましょうが、恐れ多かろうと、振りたい袖も我慢しておりますよ。
In December, when the Governor of Dazaifu, Lord Otomo no Tabito, returned to Kyoto, the maiden composed two poems.
I would do whatever I like if he is an ordinary man,
But refrain from waving my hand at him as he is an honorable man.
