大津皇子が亡くなった後に、大伯皇女がの伊勢の斎宮より上京した時に作られた歌二首
神風の吹く伊勢の国にもいればよかったのに、どうして都に帰って来たのだろう。あなたもいないのに。

持統天皇が即位し、伊勢神宮の斎宮の職を解かれた大伯皇女は都に戻った。しかし、弟・大津皇子はもういない。空虚感あるのみであろう。
When Empress Jitō ascended to the throne, Princess Oku was relieved of her duties as Saigū at Ise Shrine and returned to the capital. However, her younger brother, Prince Otsu, was no longer there. There must have been only a sense of emptiness.
