明け方、空がほのかに明るくなって、有明の月かと見えるくらい、吉野の里に、白々と降っている白雪であることだ。
At dawn,
As the sky becoming dimly brighten,
Falling white snow is shown
As if it were at daybreak the waning moon,
In the village of Yoshino serene.

At daybreak, as the sky is becoming dimly bright, falling snow looks as if it were waning moon at dawn, in the village of Yoshino.
