天の原 振り放(ｻ)け見れば 大君(ｵﾎｷﾐ)の 御寿(ﾐｲﾉﾁ)は長く 天足(ｱﾏﾀ)らしたり
Looking up into the vast sky,
It looks like the Emperor’s life, everlasting from here to eternity.
天皇の聖躬不予(ﾐﾔﾏﾋ)したまふ時に、大后(ｵﾎｷｻｷ)の奉(ﾀﾃﾏﾂ)る御歌(ﾐｳﾀ)一首
天の原 振り放(ｻ)け見れば 大君(ｵﾎｷﾐ)の 御寿(ﾐｲﾉﾁ)は長く 天足(ｱﾏﾀ)らしたり

天皇がご病気の時に、大后が奉られた歌一首
大空を遠くふり仰いで見ると、大君のお命は長く、天を満たすほどです

Yamato no Okisaki

倭大后は、飛鳥時代の倭姫王(ﾔﾏﾄﾉｵｵｷﾐ)のことで、舒明天皇の孫で、天智天皇の皇后(大后)にあたる。
病に臥した天智天皇の命が長く続き、天を満たすものであれと回復を祈った歌であろう。
Yamato no Okimi (formerly Yamato no Okimi) was the Empress of Emperor Tenchi. She was the granddaughter of Emperor Jomei. The poem prays for the recovery of Emperor Tenchi, who was bedridden with illness, so that his life would be long and fill the heavens.
