いさなとり 近江(アフミ)の海を 沖さけて 漕ぎ来る舟 辺(ヘ)つきて 漕ぎ来る舟 沖つかい いたくなはねそ 辺(ヘ)つかい いたくなはねそ 若草の 夫(ツマ)の 思ふ鳥立つ

In the Sea of Omi, ships rowing far out to sea, and ships rowing close to shore, please do not make rough waves with your oars on ships offshore, and please do not make rough waves with your oars on ships on shore, for that bird my husband loved will fly away.

大后の歌一首
(いなさとり=海の枕詞) 近江の海、その沖遠く漕ぎ来る舟よ、岸近く漕ぎ来る舟よ。沖舟の櫂(カイ)、ひどく波を立てるな。岸舟の櫂、ひどく波を立てるな。(若草の=夫の枕詞) 夫がいとしんだ、あの鳥が飛び去ってしまうから。
