今日といへば もろこしまでも ゆく春を 都にのみと 思ひけるかな

(鑑賞) 今日は、遠く唐土(ﾓﾛｺｼ)までにも及ぶといわれる立春だが、この都にのみ来たかのだと思ったのだった
It is the beginning of spring today, which is said to reach as far as China, inclusively.
Yet, I have thought as though it should come only to this capital of Japan, exclusively.
